Carlingford ty

                                          Carlingford

i was so excited about going to Carlingford. every ty year say it is one of the highlights of the year. we arrived to a gorgeous medieval style town, surrounded by hills and beside the sea. it was funny the difference of the landscape from Dublin.
When we arrived at our hostel they split us into groups and led us to our activities for the day. my group started off with challenge island. in challenge island there were loads of activities that were both mentally and physically challenging. my favourite one was the maze in the complete darkness, which felt like i was on the tv show i'm a celebrity get me out of here. unfortunately after all the activities my team lost the competition because we were the slowest to complete the challenges. after challenge island we headed back to the hostel for our lunch which was a lot nicer then i expected.
in the afternoon we did water sports which included peer jumping, kayaking and going on the trampoline in the sea. it was freezing outside and lashing rain and it didn't help that we were in the Irish sea in the middle of autumn! i woke up with a cold not surprisingly.
after dinner we went and did a walk in the dark forest blind folded and it was a lot easier then i expected! our guide said we were one of the best groups he'd ever seen. when we came home we were given our rooms and i was delighted to be one of the bigger rooms with all my friends and some girls i didn't know as well. we all got on great and 4 of us stayed up till 3am chatting.
the next day we did this zip wire obstacle course in the trees which was so fun but scary at the same time. i got stuck in the middle of one of the really long zip wires and had to pull myself to the other side. it was a full workout and i was almost dead after. pretty sure i pulled a stomach muscle.
we were all sad to be leaving and we all agreed that it lived up to the expectation and would recommend all schools to do it for a tour.
